Corrections and More Old Photos

Planning to go out tomorrow the 3rd of February. Forecast is calling for another storm, but we’ll still try to go out to Belmont Pier. May try the Marine Stadium tomorrow as well.

A couple of corrections to my past posts. During our first outing to King Harbor I caught what I thought was a small halibut. After looking at the photo and comparing it to a few books and online photos I am 99% sure it was a Diamond Turbot. UPDATE 8/9/09 – It was a CO Sole on the first trip. During our second trip I caught what I thought were 2 small soles. Reviewing the photos I’ve matched them up to Speckled Sand Dabs. Live and learn.

I’ve added some new links to other fishing sites and a new page with our fish count on the year.

Here are a few other pictures I found and scanned of myself with fish a few years back.

The first one is of me in about 1988/89 with a bonito.

The second set are 2 of myself in Big Bear in about 1992. It snowed most of the weekend and my uncle and cousin fished from the shore right outside the house we were staying in. We did well that weekend, and I caught the large rainbow on a light rig.

Hope we get to go out tomorrow!
