17th Trip: Huntington Harbor & Seal Beach Pier

Had some business to do on Friday so I took the day off from work, but planned to get out with Jonathan to do a little fishing. Had to meet up with a friend who lives in Huntington Harbor so I decided to scout out the area. He lives at the end of Edinger so we took a walk around the launch ramp area and then headed over to where he lives. Right next door is a small park and beach called Seabridge Park. The tide was way out, and I had a half hour to kill so I threw my 3″ swim bait into the channel and near the docks. It has a playground as well, good for Jonathan and it looks like a great place to launch a kayak. Not much other than some trash, so we packed up and met up with my friend to do some work.

The seals were out in force as well, same one was looking for a handout. Packed it up and worked our way back looking for bait fish. Nothing the rest of the day. Skunked again…
